Course Description: The objective of this course is to provide instruction that enables the DER to understand the role and responsibilities of the DER in a drug and alcohol testing program. As a DER, you will be able to fully grasp the drug and alcohol testing process and what actions are required under DOT - FMCSA regulations. This course will provide you with the knowledge to ensure for compliance with the federal rules and regulations as well as required company policy compliance. As the DER for your company, you will have the knowledge base about the DER's relationship with other players in the testing process, including collectors, MROs, laboratory personnel, SAPs, and C/TPAs. This training will provide you with the background to implement practical application of industry standards and procedures concerning the drug and alcohol testing process.
